When do you need snow hauling instead of more plowing?

If crews can still plow but there is nowhere sensible to put the next storm, the site has a storage-capacity problem. Hauling or relocation removes accumulated snow so the property can continue operating.
Common hauling triggers
The best trigger is operational, not cosmetic.
- Parking spaces are being lost
- Sightlines at exits are reduced
- Loading or waste areas are constrained
- Snow piles interfere with drainage
- Fire routes or emergency access are narrowing
- A thaw is expected and meltwater has nowhere to go
What a hauling quote needs
Send the site address, photos of the piles, approximate pile dimensions, available equipment access, preferred working hours and whether snow can be relocated elsewhere on site or must be transported off site. That distinction materially changes the operation.
