What we collect
The details you type into a form: name, phone, email, postal code, city, service, timing and any notes. Providers who apply also send their company name, website, markets and services.
Technical data sent by your browser: IP address, browser type, the page you came from and campaign tags (utm, gclid).
Analytics cookies from Google Analytics. In Québec and Europe they stay off until you accept them.
Why we use it
To pass your request to participating local providers who serve your area and the service you chose.
To contact you about that request.
To keep spam and duplicate requests out, and to understand which pages help people.
Who receives it
Participating providers matched to your request. They receive what they need to reply to you.
Companies that run parts of the service for us: hosting (Vercel), request routing and notifications (n8n, Telegram, Resend email) and analytics (Google). Some of them store data in the United States.
Nobody buys your information from us.
How long we keep it
Request details are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, unless a law requires us to keep them longer.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw consent, by writing to info@winterhelp.ca. We answer within 30 days.

WinterHelp.ca is a matching platform. For fire, gas, carbon monoxide, a serious electrical hazard or a medical emergency, call 911 first.
